Kai was abandoned in the woods of Missouri as a child and was discovered by a pack of wolves within the roots of a dead oak tree. Kai was taught to draw as a rudimentary attempt to communicate. She barely speaks and most of her language is pulled from local folklore, fairy-tales, and the rustling of deer bones. Doctors believe she can adjust to society as long as she is able keep tattooing and is carefully monitored for signs of instability and the whispers of the void. Golden Stag Tattoo graciously accepted Kai into the fold in 2023, with the understanding that “the full moon” is not a valid excuse for disappearing for days at a time. Kai specializes in illustrative blackwork and medieval woodcut tattoos.
